KMM:Verstappen impresses yet again. I wonder if Vettel could have challenged him had he not been trapped behind Ricciardo...
Vettel could have challenged Verstappen if there wasn’t a virtual safety car after Ricciardo’s car failed. The delta was falling quickly for that brief moment.

What exactly was the virtual safety car there for????? We have gone from no such things and even no speed limits in the pits to screwing up a race for a car that stopped harmlessly out of the way. Geeeeez. A bit too much. The best F1 is vintage F1 on YouTube.
Congrats to Hamilton and Mercedes. Yawn. Still feel bad for Botas not getting a kiss when they screwed him out of his win. Seems so unnecessary now. The champion would not have been decided today.

Just look up Jules Binachi's crash and you'll realize why there was a virtual safety car...

After spending a season racing in Europe, I much prefer the F1's virtual safety car than an actual safety car.
During a virtual safety car, everyone is restricted to a certain speed, no one can gain any advantage, it preserves all the gaps between cars. If someone drove a shitty race and falls 10, 15 seconds behind or even almost a lap down, so be it. It's fairest for everyone.
During an actual safety car, the leaders get restricted to a slower speed while everyone in the back can drive 99% to catch up, Not only is that unfair to the leaders, it's also dangerous. I have seen first hand the cars in the back tried the hardest to catch up and cause secondary accidents.
