    Help: Anti-freeze/coolant level

    Hi guys

    I have had to top up my anti-freeze/coolant level 3 times already and the car only has 1800km's on the odometer. Is the normal? I don't see any visible leaks either.

    Probably there was some air bubble mixed with the liquid cooloant,a little mistake during the filling at factory-

    ahh ok, so it can't really cause any harm to the car?

    I have had this too, but have done more miles than you (5,500miles). I'm not sure whether there is a warning light that goes off if you get too low on coolant?

    I'll have to wait a while for my 997, so i don't know for sure what the situation is, but the 996 has a warning light in the water temp gauge segment.

    sooo no one knows if it will harm the car regarding that air bubble part?

    Ok, I just checked the manual. You are right the 997 has a warning light in the temp gauge segment, too. Normally this lights up if coolant is overheating, but if it is blinking the meaning is insufficient coolant. Additionally, a warning message is displayed in the instrument cluster's onboard computer display.
