    tire wear and durability on 997 C2 vs. C4

    Hi!

    What wear is more : 997 C2 (265/40 ZR18) or 997 C4 (295/35 ZR18) ???

    What is the average tire durability on your cars ? No tracks - normal use only !!

    I think the tyres themselves are a more important factor than the 2WD/4WD issue.

    The Contis last longest (but they otherwise suck). The Pirellis and the Michelin SP2s (otherwise the best of the 3) don't last very long.

    i have the michellins on mine, and by the looks if it they're not going to last long, the treads are very shallow and the rubber compound is quite soft

    Had the PS2 on a previous car...what a grip...but I felt sorry for them everytime I pressed gas. Have PS1 now on my 986S and they seem to last longer...but not as sticky...

    Just changed the Michelins on my C2S rear, no tracks 11,000 miles
