Single CD Repair Kit?

I took my 2006 CS to the dealer for the exhaust tip recall a few weeks back. When I picked it up it was running (porter drove the car around from the garage). I then drove home. The next day when I started the car the PCM displayed "Single CD Repair Kit" below the Porsche badge. It goes away with the logo and the PCM works fine. Does anyone know what this means and why it now appears? I only had the first oil change performed and the exhaust tips replaced. I called the dealer and they didn't know why it was happening, they only said bring it in

Before you waste YOUR time bringing it in I'd insist they spend THEIR time finding out what that error message means. They should do whatever research they can do on the error message before they tell you to spend your valuable time bringing the car in before they even begin to address the problem.

i tried a google search and nothing came up, you could ring porsche?

i'd say its something to do with the cd player, is there a cd in it, is it scratched or dirty?

if you have a disc changer check all the cd's and take them all out including the single slot on the dash that if you have a dash mounted cd player!

and turn the ignition on and see if the problem is still appearing.. does your cd player work properly no skipping etc

I only have a single cd, no changer as I never changed the cd's in my old P's changer. Yes, the as CD was in the PCM when I picked up the car but it was it was a brand new disk. I'll take the disk out and start the car and see what happens when I get back home. I am in Bangalore, India right now and won't be back to the states for two weeks. I guess this thread will go stale until that time. Thanks for the tip!
