    no ,absolutly no words on a roll bar...
    but lets sort it out logically ,lets suppose my dealer didnt tell me anything, we know that normal production cars start to be manufactured in february ,and it had been confirmed by rc ,is it possible that they stock all those cars for six months before they start giving delivery?? i doubt...

    Yes, it is standard but unfortunately it seems that it is still a PCM 2 unit with some minor improvements.

    YES. They always do that and for a reason. First, they need to have enough cars for the dealer/press presentation in Spain/Portugal or whereever it may take place. Second, they need dealer launch cars for the official launch events at dealers. Only a very limited number of these cars can be specced out for customers, launch cars usually have certain options packages. If you would visit Porsche from time to time, you would see new models (which aren't "secret" anymore) waiting for transport. They have a sticker on the window with a red line from one corner to the other, telling that this specific car isn't "cleared" for shipping/delivery yet. If someone picks up his car in april/may at the factory, you'll see a bunch of 997 Turbos sitting there waiting.

    Regarding your dealer: Dimitri, did you forget that Porsche is monitoring this site? Just a little hint...

    the problem is this... If I get tip then 1yr later PDK comes out then tip becomes obsolete... and the value of my 997TT will drop... is it safer to get standard??? help....

    I would not see the manual being slower than the trip. We are not talking about dsg here. So why wwould the manual be slower?

    Dimitri,

    I'm planning to be in Beirut sometime in April, hopefully you get the car in time. Would love to hook up and take a spin. I had told myself that I would wait until the 998TT, but all this talk about the 997TT is making me want to make the change sooner. The clincher would be those CGT seats and performance figures close to the CGT.

    that will outperform the 430 ............. having both is the way to go and get your wife a Cayenne and your girlfriend a Cayman and your other girlfriend a Boxster .

    no nick ,i wont sell the 430 ,i really want it,i fell in love with this car from the moment i saw it,a real coup de foudre . by the problem is that the dealer of ferrari has been removed and no new agent has been appointed yet ,so i have no clue what will happen with my car..

    Actually RC, Dimitri is right.

    I have a friend in Lebanon who picked up his new 997 C4s quite a bit BEFORE it was offically launched. The dealer apparently told him to drive the car up in the mountains so that he wouldn't get in trouble...




    Lebanon seems to have a habbit of getting the new models of cars before anywhere else...(eg. Facelifted Range, facelifted x5 etc...) Only problem is the HUGE CAR taxes...that TT will weigh in HEAVY !!

    Well, if that is what matters then buy a Z06 for $67,000 and use the close to $100,000 savings to buy your wife, girlfriend and yourself some expensive gifts.

    i dont think so..the only paparazzi in lebanon are us on rennteam , we are not hurting anybody...it is true that very often we have new model before many places ,another example the infinity fx45 was being sold here in 2004 ,and is not expected in europe before 2007
    it is true that taxes are high ,a 997TT worth 190000us$
