Help Required

Hello Everyone

I have just taken delivery of an 07 CLK Mercedes and to my annoyance have discovered that it is programmed to emit an annoying warning horn when exceeding 120kph. I have spoken to the local dealer and they are either unable or unwilling to re program the warning computer.

Does anyone know if can get rid of this warning by myself

Check the manual. There should be a way to disable it. Fiat has it, Audi has it, and MB definitely has it.

Find an AMG/Mercedes/BWW tuner somewhere in your area. They should easily be able to turn that off as well as the 155mph limiter and possibly give you an extra few HP as well.

I use HP Tuners and can basically hack the OEM software and change just about anything I want (but that is in a Z06). But software is software and can be modified.

And Porsche has it too... should be able to disable it for sure. Check the manual
