    I am not italian or German bur no one beats the Vag marketing team when it comes to tell half the truth, the wheels IMO look very very nice!

    The Ferrari 430 averages at around 1500 kg in tests (most often about 1500 to 1520 kg), so the Superleggera is definitely lighter than the 430 and will probably remain as light as the Light Pista (what a strange name ).



    Sorry to disagree. In the last issue of auto motor and sport the stated a weight of 1497kg for the Superleggera. So this is pretty much the same as the STANDARD F430, which averages at around 1500kg as you correctly stated. So the SL is definitely not lighter than the F430, but the LP will.

    No, it surely hasn't, but the official weight claims are a lie.

    i COMPLETLY agree stefan... but dont forget Audi own lamborghini and all the upper management is german, and comes directly from ingolstadt... do you think germans care?

    In fact I think Ferrari numbers are getting better, what means nearer to reality. When you think back of F355 or Challenge Stradale for example, no car really reached the quite low factory numbers. The 430 is now said to have 1525kg (I think that's including the driver), so the test numbers of 1500kg (is that with or without driver?) is not that far away.
    But the Gallardo was always different: much smaller than the F430, said to weigh even less than the Ferrari, but reaching up to 1600kg in several test magazines...

    Ferrari and Lamborghini need to get on a fat diet and stop lying. GM is doing the opposite with the Z06. In the real world they weigh less than advertised and have another 20-30 more hp tha advertised.

    I'm not liking those wheels too much myself.

    I love all the discrepancies between a few kilos here and a few kilos there
    then a big fat guy gets in and the car hunkers down with a sigh of contempt

    I'm sure we are all in tip top shape though

    I know I'm not - that's why my car needs to be extra-light. Easier than going on a diet myself
