No silver Kreso, that "colour" looks too boring to me. And it's no Mercedes. Smiley

Meteor is nice, but I wanted a change from seal, which I got before. I decided for basalt. Smiley

    Congrats Stephan!

    997 TT, what a car/che'mmmmmaghena!!!

Re: Dilemma: Carrera 4S or Turbo - please help

A minor point is that the rear of the 997 Turbo looks much better without the Turbo badge!

I've seen a Meteor one w/o the badge in the workshop, and the impression of the rear deck was greatly improved next to others.

Have it in mind, although from what I understand it is standard practice in Germany to de-badge anyway.

Black is nice in places without dust, but IMO the Turbo colour, out of the current palette is Meteor.

    Interior???

Interior was clear from the very beginning (if it would fit to the exterior colour of course): cocoa. I already hear some say that cocoa doesn't fit to black at all, but in my eyes this is a fantastic combination, especially if you go with basalt metallic instead of plain black. I simply love cocoa. Why? It gives you such a rich warm feeling in the interior, yet it is dark enough to be resistant against dirt. Basically it looks the same as the interior of the 911 Sport Classic (which I like).
I would have chosen grey or black, if the exterior colour was ruby red or aquablue of course, since with these two colours cocoa doesn't work. But with any shade of grey, silver or black cocoa is terrific (and white BTW).
I had a test car which was macadamia with cocoa, some may say too much brown, but even here it looked good. I thought about macadamia for a moment, but finally I remembered the (very true) sentence: silver hides dirt, black shows dirt, but macadamia is dirt when the car becomes dirty. Smiley

pls tell us what you decided and your impressions on PDK Turbo

The Turbo PDK really is a fantastic car. I drove a Turbo (first generation) with 6 gears some time ago, but this car is totally different. With the PDK the Turbo really shines. No turbo lag, no delay or something, just pure and instant power, with a very decent sound by the way. This engine and this transmission were meant to be. Smiley

Yet the car is very comfortable and you can use it every day. My test car had winter tyres of course, but even with those it felt great on the road.

Accelerating has something like warp drive if you know what I mean, something I experienced before only with the 599 GTB, I think that says it all. Smiley

The partly new interior is an improvement as well, espially the new PCM and the new centre console in black with those tiny little chrome accents do look great. The grey plastic in the first generation cars looks cheap in comparison. And a really big step forward is the optional steering wheel with paddles. Yes, the paddles are not as good as the ones that are fixed to the steering column and yes you don't use them as much as in a Ferrari for example, but they are easy to use (my finger didn't get in trouble because the paddles sit to close at the back of the steering wheel) and they feel great. And so does the whole steering wheel, again the silver chrome accents do look so much better than the grey plastic of the standard wheel and it is this silver that fits perfectly to the rest of the interior like air vents for example and finally the interior or the 997 looks all of a piece with this steering wheel.

Last but not least the standard Turbo wheel looks fanstastic, so much better than the first generation wheel and also better than the optional RS style wheels, but that is highly subjective of course. Smiley

Carrera 4S is still a great car. The Turbo has just more of everything, especially of course power and speed. I thought the comfort may me a little bit better in the Turbo, but that could be because of the softer winter tyres, whereas the C4S I drove last autumn had standard rubber. But dealer told me, that the chassis configuration of the Turbo is also a bit more comfortable. Though the sound of the Turbo is really good, it may be a bit more subdued than a 997 with a NA-engine. But Turbo sound is great, very powerful but not annoying at all.

Test car with S GO542 licence plates maybe? If so, then it is a really small world...

Otherwise I agree with you-for me Macadamia with Cocoa looks excellent. Just, I would not order it despite the fact that this combo is very, very nice. Meteor Grey with Black for me.

I have to admit, I don't remember the number. Smiley

Concerning macadamia: really beautiful colour when clean, but totally different and rather dull if not.

Re: Dilemma: Carrera 4S or Turbo - please help

The Turbo really seems to be a complete car if it can be driven around town as a daily driver and then thrashed on a mounatin track. Congratulations and good luck.

I like your choice in the "cocoa interior" -my last car was cocoa and i miss the colour combination. With the basalt it will perfect. I am surprised it is not selected more by buyers-but glad that it isnt!

I prefer the N/A engines so I have a current C4S in arctic with black-classic but a bit boring. the good thing about the silver is that it doesnt show the dirt so much!

Love the 3.8 with the PDK-just an excellent car-I love the bullet train feel and I have has lots of P cars over the years.

and thank goodness they finally got the communication module right-the one in my 997.1 was a joke. i actually think they have inproved the Bose sound system from the 997.1 too.

now all they have to do is give us the auto lights and i will be a happy camper!!Good luck with the turbo-I agree with the "classic" 997.2 comment-they really are the pinnacle of a long evolution from the 356.
