...looking forward seeing some GT4s on the weekend (Hockenheim !)
The GT4's cause the tail backs on the tracks. even white ones
..
Will you be trading in your girlieman scooter GT3 for a rugged manly GT4 soon?

Just came back from a very warm and sunny Hockenheimring. Well, what can I say, it seems that many GT4s have been delivered recently. Within the many GT4s l was the only GTS. The owner's base seems to be very broad - one owner told me about all the improvments he already put into his car, with GT3 cup parts and 200cells cat etc., etc, whereas another one was anxious that his GT4 may not be run in after 3000km on the speedo. I think that a lot of those guys actually replaced their potentially envisaged GT3 with a GT4. Perhaps the GT4 has become something of a people's track car and the GT3 is more for the breed of motorsport professionals.

A market niche which was just waiting to be filled.

Mikla:...even the lack of a proper GT engine doesn't prevent it. I am eager to run it in a give it full throttle.
No, while the GT4 engine did not come with the same "motorsport" marketing package as the GT3 / RS, it actually has an engine which is used in motorsport

oh, boy, as I said, had a great time in Hockenheim the past weekend and I am about to hate all GT4 owners, because you / they own them !!!
Good looking at stand still, great performance on the track, it just ticks the right boxes also financially. There was also a 911 R, but it seemed....., nobody really noticed / cared....so, what will I do ? Nothing, I will be enjoying my GTS further and will be happy to follow the GT4 crowd with approx. a 5 sec delay each round. Some of the GT4 made a 2:05 min. average, I followed with 2:10 min ave. ...these cars are great track toys ...
Whoopsy:Now you guys got me all worried about the 918 themed gear I am getting later this year............................
I might need sunglasses just to wear them
Found the perfect solution...

Well, if you do that then the race suit will give you some stealth look - just imagine, you standing beside your car with the clubsport wrapping and suddenly, you are becoming invisible due to the matching colors of the race suit and the car... ... You surely have downloaded the clubsport app already, haven't you ? There are several design features you can play with and actually, this is how I decided on the stripes of my car...

Which tires are you using? If just street tires, going to semi-slicks like GT4 will help narrow the times

Currently, due to the 2 year new car warranty still in place (up until 10/2016) I stick to the recommendations (235/35 20 and 265/35 20) from Porsche, which are P-Zeros N0 and N1 and Goodyear Eagle for the GTS. I know that I would narrow the times either by putting on more white on my car ... ... or changing to MSC2 etc. However, I would still have the gap in tire width at the rear, where you are on 285 as standard and I noticed that this is a big advantage when getting out of a corner. I had one GT4 "chasing" me (obviously the driver was not yet exploiting the total limit of his car...) in one of my stints and I was just able to increase the gap with a late breaking before a corner but this gap narrowed down again, when we exited the corner. Still, you see: I HAD SOME FUN !!!
