    The Best

hi,i have ordered a 997S and was just wondering what bodykit you guys think is the best....
    The Techart
    The rinspeed indy
    or
    the factory aerokit
thanks in advance for the responses

Best info on porsches is on this Forum

    Re: The Best

Judging from past discussions of body/aero kits, you're likely to find that the vast majority of forum members will advise: "None of the above"..

Besides, a decision of this nature is purely personal taste. Go with what you like.

I can't tell you which one is best, because I simply don't like add-on cladding/spoilers as a general rule.

    Congrats on your order!!

    ..The Body Kit ?
The one at the Left ... Looks pretty interesting in White too

for some reason that reminds me of that bernie quote...

    Body Kit ?.....

I am NOT a fan of ANY body kit. To me they look so "Harry High School" or "Wannabe Rice Toys". You are very much entitled to your own view/taste. For me NOTHING looks better on a 911 than a clean low riding Carrera, free of external wings, skirts, air foils, etc......preferably in silver.

    Re: Body Kit ?.....

I went with the aerokit and it arrives in 1 month, I personally LOVE it. Just look how good the GT3 looks, its more or less the same. I chose aerokit because it wasnt aftermarket stuff, it looks great and its staying with Porsche parts, so re-sell and credibility is good.

    Re: Body Kit ?.....

I thought I wouldnt do one mod to my car when I bought it one year ago but now when I go on a 15min drive I pass by 4-5 997s and wanted to personalize mine especially since it is in the most common color also.
I went with speedart front bumper and techart wing...

    MES,

    I'm with you 100%.

The factory aerokit blends with the car. And more importantly it has considerable positive advantages to the lift on the cars axles. (Ok, in truth I bought it just for looks!)

My March 1st car is as above same wheels just in Guards Red. I think it looks fantastic! (Far better in the metal however!)

    Re: Body Kit ?.....

    Two questions:
Are you single and under 30 years of age?
Do you like to cruise for chicks?

If you answer "yes" to both: choose your aerokit from the many fine ones available and enjoy it!

If you answer "yes" and "no" respectively to the above questions: choose your aerokit from the many fine ones available and enjoy it

If you answer "no" and "yes" respectively: do not buy the aerokit and save your money for the eventual more serious non-car problems in your future.

If you answer "no" to both: do not buy the aerokit and just be happy there's a good chance that you still look good driving a stock Carrera.

    Re: Body Kit ?.....

GT3!!! You'll get the best look and the added performance too!

Looks like it comes with skirts too!!

    Re: The Best

I would never get a body kit on a 911. The biggest attraction of the 911 to me is the timeless, simple lines.

    Re: Body Kit ?.....

I'm with Raffi. I too live in a neighborhood where 911s are as common as the Mini-Van. I want to differentiate my Cab from the other Carreras and am waiting for the TechArt parts to come in (front dam, side skirts and Type III spoiler). I'm not a fan of the factory kit spoiler - too flashy. I think the TechArt mods add some nice lines that are not too overstated.

    Re: Body Kit ?.....

I feel from pics/shots Techart is nice yet understated, perhaps the front dam is a little too-close a resemblance to CGT (good or bad?) but the rear wing blends in nicely with the curvaceous butt and just the perfect height, and not obscure rear vision, and oh, not "ricey".. i'd presume it costs less than factory aero-kit.It'll be the one I'd get
