Some great tips and hints on that side. I would never even consider buying online without a physical look and test drive.
I'd rather buy locally and pay for it.. I can't imagine the hassles not to mention the risk.
Even if you do everything to the books. I also avoid used car dealers like the plague...
I'd rather buy from a privately owned bloke than any used dealer, once you've worked in the automotive business you know their tricks.. Terrible stuff is done to flip cars and anything goes.
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)
