    NSX Flambé

I guess they want to compete with the 458 and the GT3. Smiley

    Nobody was hurt.

The ultimate expression of the power within: a mid-engine car conflagration.

Bamboo is very strong. You ever been to Hong Kong and seen how they build buildings with bamboo! :)

At the right price and dynamic ability I would be interested in this car for my commuter car. Hopefully I could use it in the HOV lane! indecision

I assume you are referring to the use of bamboo scaffolding for high rise buildings. I was so impressed that I took a photograph of one back in the days of expensive Kodak film.  Smiley

Yes as scaffolding. And they go up 30-40 floors with the stuff!

    LOL!

I love RT. You drop one word out of context and the thread does a 180 backflip into randomness.

Bamboo scaffolding is indeed very impressive.

    wink

    You want random?   Smiley
Edison used bamboo filaments for his early mass-produced light bulbs. But they were quite short-lived because they also burned out.   Smiley

I use sliced bamboo in my Thai curries and stir frys. It's quite a versatile plant.

Bamboo is also used in landscaping as a sound barrier. I've been to houses that are amazingly quiet right in the middle of the city by use of bamboo.

    Re: NSX Flambé

If the NSX is the same price as a Cayman GTS, then Porsche might look at getting into the bamboo business. smiley

    Re: NSX Flambé

No way it will cost like a Cayman

Rumors say 911 turbo money, 918 performance

    Re: NSX Flambé

Mid engine V6 / elec. hybrid with ~480HP and 3100 lbs. Somewhere around 458 power to weight ratio..

    Re: NSX Flambé

NSX will be a 458/12C etc competitor for sure.

Original NSX was a good alternative of the 348, just that the exhaust note was a bit disappointing.

    Re: NSX Flambé

Honda should not give the front of the NSX the Civic look . That is a big mistake and was already a mistake before .

If they would give it a distinctive front, forgetting about branding , the car would do so much better ..... at least in Europe .

The 1rst NXS did not sell well in Europe but did well in the US.

    Re: NSX Flambé

It sold well then because of the low price. Back then the yen was like almost 50% cheaper than now so Honda sell them cheap yet still makes money, by the end of production the yen has appreciated like 30%, forcing Honda to raise the price drastically and the sales figure tanks. At 5 figures it's a great Japanese car, but no one wants to pay 6 figures for a Japanese cars back then.

I wonder how much Honda is going to charge for the NSX this time around, @ around 120k-150kUS it could be a good deal, but if it goes for much more than 150k then I don't think many would pay that much for a Japanese car, no matter how great the performance.

    Re: NSX Flambé

It is going to be made in Ohio in the US so I expect the US price to be very competitive. If not then oh dear....
