Only in California

Drove my new 997 from LA to Point Mugu and stopped at a little shopping center in Malibu near Pepperdine University. In the parking lot next to each other was a new 997 (mine), a new 996 cab, three other 996 cabs, and a Cayenne. Must have saw about 50 Porsches on the drive up there plus about 5 Ferrari F360s. Still have not seen another 997 on the road yet.

Looks like you need to go out and buy a Hyundai so you can look "unique".

Musta been a nice sight, coming from northern ca, I do see my fair share of sweet cars but probably not as much as you guys do in the south.

I've seen a half dozen different 997's down here (Orange County, CA) in the last month or so. They're pretty popular here.

You live in the rich part of OC thats why - You wont
see anything like that more inland like Anaheim - fullerton

i drive the malibu canyaon & westlake blvd quite a bit on the weeksnds with my 997S. once i am in malibu, i frequently stop for a sandwich at the peperdine shopping mall too, have seen a lot of F & P cars. it's quite excitng... :-)

i believe that there is a group (from another forum) that does runs in malibu canyon on the weekend and then meets at a cofee shop there. anyone has any info on that?

But that's every city I know of...a disproportionate fraction of great cars tend to hang out in certain parts of town

....NYC's Greenwich, LA's Westside and Malibu, SF's Woodside and Atherton, Chicago's Lake Forest, etc...
