    An "Italian" car engineered by Germans is old school? I highly doubt old shool is the reasoning for not having some form of E-diff. What would you think when Audi decides to incorporate some kind of E-diff for Gallardo and Murcie?

    Nothing like getting a new Ferrari model right away but MY06 might be the smarter way to go. Especially if you're going to hold onto the car.

    This is EXACTLY my feeling as well. The very first day driving the car I was stopped at a light when a car with a group of 20 something guys pull up next to me, on the right side. They're jumping around the car like monkeys yelling, pointing. I start looking the the left to see what the heck is going on. I'm looking for a major accident or a fight or something but there's nothing. I start seeing the thumbs up and then realized they were going ape ---- because of my CS........LOL !
    Now everytime I'm out driving there's always people with camera phones pulling up next to me or sticking them out their sunroofs to get a picture. It's really a lot of fun.

    This is what I hate about new cars or new developments: there are too many bugs they have to fix. It's a shame, now that the F1 is superb and works faultlessly, they are getting problems with the new E-diff. Crazy.

    And it simply can't be, that you are not allowed to drive in the wet, Ferrari should change that problem quickly!



    I have not had any problems with F1 or E-Diff. I believe the e-diff is a great piece of technology. In making turns while on the throttle, the car feels so planted if you were blind folded you would swear the car was in a straightaway. The power to the appropriate tires in turns is phenonmenal.

    i wouldn't overestimate the fact that two rennteam'ers (including me ) faced problems with their F430's e-diff either. it's not proven that it's a general production error or something. and ferrari sorted my problems out very nicely. car is performing great again. soooo sweet.

    Hi Patriek -

    I'm not aware of any changes to the car, it's just that when you sell or trade, you've got an '06 that is going to be worth more than an '05, all things being equal.

    Fluid leak too

    My 430 has started leaking what appears to be either power steering fluid or transmission fluid( red color) behind the passenger rear wheel as well. It appears after the car sits following a drive. I checked the black plastic reservoir just in front of the oil reservoir and the fluid appears to be the same fluid that is leaking. The level is just down a bit as well. Mine goes to the dealer on Monday.

    Yes, sorry to say, but it looks like the same problem I have and that our friend Red 430 is now also reporting. I only found this red fluid after I had runing the car at higher RPM's not during warm up. Same with you guys?

    Interesting you guys do not report the F1 shifting into "N" problem, like I do.
    I hope they are seperate issues, but I suspect they both involve the same red fluid.
    My dealer has done an initial presure test and found nothing, then sent email to the factory asking what to do, since this is a new model. Several days and no reply.

    I had the same problem and was told it was related to the over filling of either the steering or brake reservoir. I have not had the problem since.

    The pictures are great. However, I am becoming convinced that darker colors on the 430 do not enhance the lines enough.They appear to get blurred. I have yet to see a dark colored 430 in person so I may be wrong.

    having seen a surprising amount of them, yeah, Rosso Corsa is the best color. But that blue is nice, and it's rare too, never even seen that in pictures, or on a 360. I love those Spiders too!

    What I don't like on the F430 is the 2 huge front air intakes. There are just too big IMO. Dark colors makes the front look better. Just my 2 cents.

    no, you are right. i've seen a grigio silverstone F430 and black F430 spider and berlinetta in person... they just don't look special enough to me because all the air intakes and lines kind of "vanish".

    Nah, for me the facelift gives the F430 the required aggressiveness the 360 always needed but never had, whereas the 360 Spider looks better to me without these aggressive lines and the more feminine looks of the Modena instead.

    Gettin' philosophical here, ain't it?

    Yup. Cause there's a lot of time and effort that goes into each ferrari, to give it "soul". I jsut wish they weren't selling out with all this merchandising.
