    Unpainted front spoiler and rear apron

    I just wanted to get some opinions on the forum. I love the front spoiler painted, but realistically I'm going to destroy it driving around here. Which colors, if any, really "need" the front spoiler and rear apron painted? If the car is carrara white, will it look bad to have the skirts painted but the front and rear left black? Would painting just the skirts and rear apron look unbalanced?

    If you are doing the skirts, I would at least do the rear. Leave the front unpainted if you're worried, or do what I'm doing. I painted all the way around. If the front gets trashed easily, I'll just replace it with an unpainted one. IMO, light colours look best painted.

    Which ones? White is the one that looks okay w/ them painted. Personally I don't like the painted look but if you're going to do the rear and sides get the front done. If you're worried about trashing it but still want it painted then order it factory painted and order a second and have it painted at a local shop. That way if you trash the one on the car you can substitute it for another painted one. If you want you can always have a spare.

    There was a thread about this but I have no recollection of the subject line. Good reminder to lable your subject lines carefully when you initiate a thread.

    Anyway I repost this pic.

    IMHO? with lip painted the car looks like a track car. They tend to look "plastic-y" not that there's anything wrong with that. I just want to blend in on public roads as much as possible (no "boy-racer" indictments wanted) so I go with the non-painted which makes car look more utilitarian.

    i personally like the unpainted purposeful look for all the lower bits irrespective of the car color . i think if your going to be driving your tt to any extent youll be glad they arent painted as the get dirty espcially the front with welded on bugs grasshoppers etc....all possible other senarios get em painted.
