Flashman, its based on the radial defocus filter but you have to also play with selections, layers, blend modes, ect. I learnt how to do this stuff myself playing with photoshop (I have no computer training) so I don't know if there is an easier way, but didn't take long one you knew what to achieve. The previous one was my first try and this second one looked pretty cool in the end

I almost didn't get the PSE because of that. I even had a set of chrome tips ready to install but after I heard some of the sound bites here and then saw a picture Carlos posted I changed my mind. The exhaust tips actually flow with the bottom of the car. There's a body line from the rear fenders to beneath the rear bumper that is the shape of an upside down U............. It's hard to explain, maybe Carlos can post a pic. Aestitically there's another reason why I got the PSE. With the standard exhaust tips, when looking at them from the rear you can see there is a single pipe. It kinda reminds me of the "stainless exhaust pipes" on the 996 where there were 2 holes but you could clearly see it was feed by one pipe. With the PSE where the tips connect there are 2 pipes.
To answer your question (I asked exactly the same thing before I was sold on the look) - You couldn't change the tips without major fabrication.
The sound is really worth it.
