The Cayenne in Hank the Cowdog country

For those of you not familiar with Hank the Cowdog, it is a series of childrens books about ranch life in the Texas Panhandle as told by Hank, the ranch dog. Learn more at this web page.

I just returned from a trip to this part of Texas and did some off-roading in the canyons that are the setting for those books. I will post a couple of photos now and maybe more later.

Isn't the hill country beautiful. Unfortunately in Dallas we do not have the hills.

More of The Cayenne in Hank the Cowdog country

These trails were not as strenuous as my previous trip to Big Bend Park but still a good adventure. I did learn more about the Cayenne off-road. All of it still good.

able center differential when offroad? AK

Yes. There were some steep slopes on rocky roads that did need at least low range going down. I had passangers that wouldn't have cared for wheelspin much so I used the center differential lock as well. Going up the steepest slopes you could hear and feel the ABD engaging occasionally.
