    Interesting Cayenne in St. Moritz today...

    Hi there!

    I'm currently spending my winter vacation in St. Moritz, where many interesting cars can be seen... Among many other Cayennes, i found this interesting example with a very special paint scheme, see for yourself...

    Looks like Black Mat (as opposed to metallic) just like Jean Todt's 575
    Not to everyone's taste.
    The wheels look ridiculous! although unfortunately necessary in the snow!

    It has GR = Graubunden plates, so it belongs to a "local"(regional) owner. Still guessing RC?

    that's right, GR = Graubünden. But it's possible, that the owner is someone from the whole of Switzerland. Perhaps a native from the mountain region, but as I said, also from other regions...

    This car uses the typical "mule" color used for test mules.
    The Cayenne Turbo sign is also missing from the rear.
    This is why I wanted to see more pictures of this car, especially from the front.
    I don't think that Porsche uses swiss license plates for testing but it isn't excluded. They love to play hide and seek lately.

    I'm also still wondering if there's someone who orders such a high-end car in this color. Either you must be very eccentric or crazy or very wealthy (want something different this time) or probably a mixture of that.. 007 got some more shots yet?

    that colour it looks very "militaru style"

    Saw today a similar car, had good luck as the beast had also to wait on the red traffic lights.
    Made a picture of it, poor quality (Mobile phone) but at least I recognised the small badge that it's a SPORTEC one. A tuner based in Switzerland. The same dull black as in the picture.
    But different registration number.

    You guys can say whatever you want, but the first car looks awesome in this colour.

    I saw a military-green Ferrari 355 Spyder on the net a while ago, what I found quite interesting already.

    Anyways, this Cayenne looks great, especially since the badges and chrome parts are missing also. Is there any military personell living in St. Moritz...?
    Why didn't you make a picture of the machine gun on the engine hood...?

    Yeah, I agree, it looks great.
    To me, it seemed like a sort of mat seal grey... not black but dark grey. (the first car, not the second one) Is that true?

    Well, Joost, it is actually quite black if you see it in person. Interestingly, if you touch it with your hand and glide over it, it's totally smooth like normal paint, no difference to the touch. as I mentioned in another thread, there are probably about 4 or 5 such cayennes in Switzerland at the moment, I'm sure it was done by the exclusive department.

    Why Exclusive Department? It can be done by any experienced paint shop. I never saw such a color at Werk 1 but of course it can't be excluded that this is an Exclusive Dep. job. Next time I got there, I ask.

    Well of course it could be done by any paintshop, I just assumed as there are now so many of these cars that there wouldn't be as many people who would respray the whole car for that, but rather have it from the factory. Anyway, that's all I know about it.

    Porsche Werk 1 in Zuffenhausen: home of Exclusive Department and home of Dr. Wiedeking's office.
    They also have a repair shop but only for certain customers, it isn't opened for the public anymore.

    okay, than you mean exclusive exteriour. but interior is definetly NOT in werk 1/Rohbau. its in werk 2 next to museum.
    or they mean on the site that ZUFFENHAUSEN is WERK 1. And for example Ludwigsburg is werk 2... because on your link there is one picture with the hole factory in Zuffenhausen.

    Strebel, Exclusive Department is located in Werk 1. Period.
    They just use capacity in Werk 2 too for mods, located in the same building where the new car deliveries to customers take place.

    They do interior and exterior mods in Werk 1, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

    Do we have now the same discussion as with the Cayenne facelift for MY 2005?

    maybe but if i where at work in exclusive interior i worked in werk 2, next to the new car delivery. i didnt knew that they make interior in Werk 1. because on told me, its the only place in Werk 2 where interior mods will be done. but if you say this, it will be right. i was not often in werk 1 in my one year career .
