The only real chance Ive had to feel the cars dynamics and weight anywhere approaching a limit is on the track and I would say it feels of similar mass to the 991.2 dynamically. I would say its probably less rotatable on the limit (not that Ive gone their just yet) but that is due to the increased grip of the wider tyres/bigger tyre patch and the improved front end bite/reduced understeer on corner entry.
One thing that is apparent on road and track is how much better the shocks are at dealing with compression and rebound. I believe these are the sachs units like teh ones that do such a great job in the Alfa Guilia but obviously a later generation and re-valved for the task at hand. There resolution is much greater (i.e. they respond quicker) and they are capable of much greater variety of range. For example in normal mode they are handling the cars improved stiffness, wider tyres and much stiffer very well and its as really comfortable as the prior gen car IMO. That means that on the track settings you can make full use of all of those things that work against a comfortable road handling but with few of the compromises on the road compared to the last gen...
I believe this is where Porsche nailed the performance with the 992 GT3 and why it is equal or slightly better dynamically than the 991.2 GT3RS. Sure the new front suspension helps but the wider tyre patch and the firmer springs with the new dampers and stiffer chassis have made up the majority of the gap here as they did between 991.2 GT3 and RS before. Aero would be the next biggest benefit as it is noticeable when entering faster corners and noticeably better than the 991.2 GT3 in certain circumstances.
For the 992 GT3RS a larger tyre patch, further stiffening and tuning of the damper and springs and improved aero with active elements will alone bring another 5-6s to the table in Ring lap times. Any power enhancements or trickery we yet know will no doubt increase the delta between the RS and the base GT3 further. If the 992 GT3RS can knock out a circa 6.47 Ring lap its starting to become a seriously quick machine. I cant recall what a 991.1 GT3 Cup car could do at the ring but I suspect that its around mid 6 thirtys with a skilled driver, slicks and a Ring geometry set up. 10s is a very small gab for a car that you can drive home from the track with the stereo playing, air conditioning and your girlfriend in the passenger seat LOL
