It is an amazing car, not just a bargain. You may need to have a relationship with a dealer however.

nberry:Mike, you're right. I'm working on that now. My wife says I'm not a Corvette type guy. The car gives you performance, beauty and open top fun. Hard to beat.
Same reason I think is was a Tesla guy minus the beauty part. Go for it!

It's posible Nick, Corvette has always had a negative image here and didn't carry much respect due to its build and handling, and the fact that Vettes in Europe were insultingly overpriced for what they were didn't help since there was no bang for the buck at least, and so there may be a negative subconscious bias here, myself included.
That said, the engine sounds really good with it's high and fast revving flat plane crack and the specs of that NA V8 are great, especially in this era of easy and cheap HP turbocharged engines, but the design inside and out does not fit, somewhat caricaturesque to me.
