Just imagine how much such a Panamera Turbo Coupe would cost...at least a 15-20k premium over the sedan. Ouch.

If it looked like that, kept its weight down, and had all the elements that a top line GT should in luxury and performance it would sell like hot cakes.

Does anyone think that is more than an artist rendering, it looks so real and the background is similiar to what was first used for the oficial panamera intro photos.

its def an artist rendering. look closely at the front wheels on the second shot and you can notice that they were placed above the image below.
Still it sure looks good.

i was not impressed with the rear rendering at all so i did a quick sketch. I see more Audi/Cayenne elements.

indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

You are right, this might be a show-stopper!
It should be cheaper as the 4-door (as you get less car!) but I guess you are right, that Porsche adds another premium!

First word that comes to mind... CLASS! 
If it took a detour via the Panamera to get here, so be it, it was worth the effort. And if PAG delivers the goods, i.e. a package customers want, it will be successfully marketable.
From Racerx' quoted source, and for what it's worth:
"The 928 will slot into Porsche’s pricing line-up somewhere between the 911 and Panamera. The four-door ranges from £70,000-£95,000, while the 911 starts a little lower, at just over £60,000, but stretches to £128,000 for the GT2.
With this is mind, expect the 928 to be pitched between £65,000 and £90,000 – enough to safely undercut its Ferrari and Aston rivals when it goes on sale in 2012."
This is a direct assualt on Jag, AM, and certain F-cars. The only question is how many premium GTs can the market absorb?
ATZ, I like your renderings but IMHO, I would rather not see obvious Audi touches here.

It won't. Because the Panamera Coupe will be in a completely price AND performance league. 
I doubt that a 2 ton Panamera Coupe will be the same fun to drive as a 911 which weights almost half a ton less.

For fun i would choose a GT3.
For a GT car i doubt that the majority of people will chose a 991 carrera S/4S over a Panamera Coupé (entry level or maybe the S Hybrid) assuming minor price diference.
The problem of the 911 it`s Porsche imself...
From what i see even the future Cayman S or Boxster S will have a much better dynamic...
To me I would love to see the future of the 911 more like a GT3 (or a Carrera S more radical), and give the GT role to the future Panamera Coupé

The new "928" sales will depend upon what Porsche does.
They claim they want to make the 918 some day because of the overwhelming positive reaction to the great design. Well in the same way the 1st 2 pictures in this thread have also received the same positive reception at all the car enthusiast sites.
So will they make that look or just massage the FUGLY panamera??
