    When will 997s be at US dealers?

    I'm doing a few visits to the US over the next couple of weeks. If they're getting the 997s in it may give me a chance to see one before they get to the UK in Sept.

    Probably not before August 28,my 997S order #3 at dealer is August build for mid Sept delivery.

    US dealers will be holding 997 introduction events on August 28.

    This is what my dealership email me after my inquiry, hope it helps.

    Dealer cars have not been shipped to the port from Germany, the official release date will be the last week of August. As in previous new model releases they will have a 997 for each dealer at the port then they will release them to the trucking for shipping so all dealers will have one. Having said that I think we will have ours 24th-30th of August. Porsche is having 997 training for salespeople the first three weeks of Aug. I will be in Calif for training on Aug 23-26. If I here more I will let you know.

    Right, Ron confirmed the same thing.
    First customer cars (if available) should be delivered in september.

    there is something i dont get ,my car is july production ,so its being manufactured ,the official presentation in the middle east is september 5 ,where will be the car all this time?i am sure its not in stutgart since during my visit they told us they dont store cars after production . so where is the car ????? if its in the garage at porsche in beirut ,i am going to break trough and get it

    Hey Rich C,

    Porsche sent us a letter saying we will be getting the speccing list through soon but also they will have a couple of 997s at the showroom in august (no specific date) for us to have a look at. I presume this is the same for all dealers.

    Perhaps worth popping into your local to see if they'll let you have a ganders on the day or something.
