Thanks for posting this; it's always nice to see some journalist say nice things about a car you like. But frankly, this was not a particularly insightful article.
My fellow rennteamers are definitely the most useful source of Porsche info out there.
"The Porsche Carrera,[edit] isn't the fastest car around. [Edit], the S version of the car [edit] only does 0 to 60 in 4.6 seconds, vs. 4.2 seconds for the new Corvette convertible and under 4 seconds for a Ferrari."
While the author does praise the car, this is a terrible write-up. I am sure some Porsche PR guy gave him the car to drive for the week or weekend and a brochure. You would think that the PCNA people would be all over his ass making sure he mentioned which items are optional, and explaining that the "$920 stopwatch" is actually a whole package. I always like to read positive press, but this guy sounds like a moron who got to drive a 997 S Cab around for a weekend.
