997TT boost trouble

i just picked up my new lapis natural brown 9977tt. WHen i got in the car it didnt go passed 4 psi boost. I thought at first it was odd then thought maybe there was a governor for break in or until the car warmed up. as the car warmed up, the boost came on...then off again. Now its in the shop for the second time...a few fault codes came up but nothing concrete anyone have any issues like this so far? The dealer believes it may be a harness issue

the tech guy @ my dealer indicated that p -cars come in a " transit mode " to avoid them being trashed at some stage of the delivery process. truth or bs. who knows, it would make sense,.. hope you are able to get this resolved quickly

If that was true, I'd think more people would know about it on this forum.

Your dealer will find the problem. Don't worry about it.
Be patient and you will have it back to enjoy soon enough.

When I picked up my 997tt a couple of weeks ago and drove away, there was no boost...only a strange noise. I went back directly to the dealer. The problem was that the "wake up" programming they do as a part of the pre-delivery prep had not taken and they needed to hook it up to the computer again and "wake it up" as they said. They did this, I drove off half an hour later, and have had no problems since (just reached 2000 miles) so here we go.............

Or he could just try sticking a banana up the tailpipes to see if the boost rises

Actually it is true--limits the speed to about 24mph.

actually i wont have it back...they couldnt identify the problem accurately nor quickly so they are buying it back from me. I was going to wait for them to find me another one but richard sloan had a nice tt with all the options i wanted so i decided to buy that one..they are pickign it up today or tomorrow and i should have it monday....hopefully this one runs...

This is a very elegant colour combination! But is it the right combination for a car like the 997tt?

I'd say yes, as the Turbo is clearly heading into the GT market.
