Thanks Andrea. Very nice read. I think the GTR will burn a hole in 997 Turbo's ego. Better twin turbos (much less lag), better AWD, better transmissions, more stable, easier to drive fast. What else more can you ask for except it does not wear a Porsche name. However, there are people who will buy a 997TT just because it is a 997TT.

Jason Barlow seemed to want to be both sides of the fence at the same time?

He praised the GTR for being cheaper, more powerful and faster, and praised the R8 for being the better drive.

He did say he was suffering badly from jet lag.

Thanks for the link! Nice review. I actually pre-ordered my GT-R yesterday. Nissan takes the data and "attempts" to fill the order per spec. I ordered Gun Metallic w/Premium Package. I will get it this year if Nissan gives my dealer two.

Will they pit the VEYRON against the GT-R? R8 was pitted against VEYRON and so did SLR. It would be interesting to see straightline drag race VEYRON V GT-R

Pretty much so. It's no faster than a 997TT in the straight, so unless Porsche released a VEyron killer in the guise of the Turbo, I just can't quite see that happening
