    Little OT (sorry).. looking for a Swedish Cloisonne crest

    Hi: Sorry for the OT, but this is the largest forum. Can anyone lead me a link or something where I can buy a Swedish cloisonne crest/emblem that attaches to the engine grille on pre 996 911s. TIA, Don

    Tricky one. I have never seen any emblem with the Swedish flag in Sweden on any car let alone a pre 996 porsche. My suggestion is that you contact the royal automobile club, KAK . In their shop they got emblems but it's membership ones, see here

    I was hoping to get an answer to does anyone know if when Ruf says based on the GT3 does that mean he is using an engine based on the 964 block or the M96 block?

    eh, mr. clean, why do you post your question in this thread? it has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this thread and is not very likely to be noticed this way... maybe you should open a new thread and be a little more specific about what you're really interested in knowing.

    Yeah, Taz is right about that.

    Anyways, the RGT RS is supposed to use the same eingine as the GT3, which uses the same engine block as Turbo/GT2 which is derived from the GT1 LeMans racecar. Any help?

    Yes, the GT3 uses the GT1-style engine which uses a 964 block (dry-sump not M96 wet sump).

    Don, what you are looking for is called a grill badge. Check ebay using that term and you might find what you're looking for. Good luck!

    Barrett....thank you so much for your research. I have been looking for one of these off and on for months. I got so excited that I bought one from Performance Products. Then I looked at the one on eBay that you found and bought that one because I liked it better.

    You're welcome, Don. I love grill badges. I had one in my old Boxster for a long time (I put it in the grill-like area inside one of the rollbars). The badge was a replica Nurburgring badge. It looked awesome.

    OK, you've proved your point.

    Now could you turn your attention to solving world hunger and global warming, and making sure my numbers come up in the Florida Lottery?

    Maybe you should do these things in your lunch break though. They could take a little longer, and I wouldn't want you getting into trouble with whoever puts the bread on your table.
