Phone Module Question

Hi Guys

I have the phone module on my TT - I got 2 sim cards from my service provider (one for my phone, and one for my car) - my question is this:

Will the SIM card in the car supercede the SIM card in my phone when the car is on?

If so:
Will the phone SIM card automatically switch off once I turn the car off (and allow me take phone calls on my cell phone)?

Finally:
If my car is on, and I am not in it, will phone calls go to my car regardless?

If I recall correctly about basic GSM operating...

I believe you cannot have 2 devices on the network using the same SIM card, so you must shut one off to let the other one on.

He's in Dubai, completely different set of rules probably apply in his case.

It's possible to set the multi-sims in several ways. i.e. I chose to be able to make calls on the car sim but to not receive them....personal choice.

I think the method varies by service supplier so suggest you ask them for the alternatives..

With my service provider (Orange) it is working the following way:

- Incoming call on my cell, if I don't pick-up it will be transfered to the car. If the car is OFF then it goes to my cell phone's voice-mail.

- Outgoing call from the car. Regular call, it just says "private number". However, I was able to figure out the car phone number by sending a SMS from the car.

- Incoming call on the car phone. If I don't pick-up it is transferred to my cell phone's voice-mail.

The problem is to synchronize the phone book. From time to time, I have to remove the SIM card from the car to put it in my cell phone and to synchronize it with my home computer.... which is a real drag.

Definitely the best way is to have a car phone with bluetooth where you use your cell phone SIM card.

With Vodafone the car phone number is the same as the cell phone number...
