    What a deal on an Ebay C4S w/ 700 miles.

    Just ran across it and looks like a steal....but what do they say?? Too good to be true??

    MSRP'd at 103k, now starting bid at 88k

    There must me a reserve price! That's the way ebay marketing work...

    You will not be able to touch that car for less than $98K+, there is a reserve price.

    I don't see a reserve. Maybe you are looking at a different car?

    Porsche resale prices are not strong. Too many of them and most models look alike. He will be lucky to get something in the low 90's.

    You can have a starting which is less than the reserve. I would assume if you bid on it, it would indicate that the reserve was not met.

    That is not the way it works. It will state that "Reserve not met". The person currently bidding is so far the top price.

    The 700 miles indicates it's a demo, or a car sold and then quickly returned (in which case the returnee negotiated his way out, probably lost some money in the process), so the dealer now has a whole lot more "room" to deal on it. It won't make it up to $98K, because it's been driven. Who would pay brand-new money for a car somebody else has thrashed-around who-knows-how-hard for 700 miles? I would think $92-93K would buy the car. Not a bad deal if that's the spec you're after, and you don't have to pay for transport cross-country. But why the excitement tkids? there's 8 flippin days left on this auction. Thusfar, it's just a common listing with a starting bidder, who's likely just the dealer himself getting things kicked-off.

    Not really excited. Just the only true deal I have seen on Ebay for a C4S, even on its starting bid. Just posting it for what reason, I don't know. Seems like I am just spending alot of time explaing about the reserve price that is non existent.
