After witnessing the angst over the Z06 doing 7:43
on the large Ring track, I began to wonder what type of buyer the Z06 is directed at. I am still of the opinion it is the US Porsche buyer who wants outstanding performance. The hook in this case is the price. Anyone in the market to buy a GT3 or even a GT2 would be insane not to seriously consider this car.
Though I believe the 997 TT will be an outstanding performer, I doubt Z06 sales will impact it greatly. The TT still has a back seat albeit a joke and probably a better car to drive around town or work. However, that leads to the next question which is if that is the reason why one is buying a TT then isn't it a stupid financial decision?
Many cars would fulfill that function better and more comfortably. I guess it must be the idea of driving a Porsche Turbo which is the hook.
To my knowledge most Porsche owners deny that the name has anything to do with their purchasing decision. Right:, and pigs fly and G.W. Bush can complete a sentence.
