The OBD engine light came on...again. For the 10th time or so.

Went back to the dealer to get it reset (I have an appointment for the first inspection in May, so there was no need to leave the car there, the car was still driving) and...surprise, surprise...an AMG engineer was there (dealership is factory owned) to check something with another car. My mechanic had a little chat with him and an hour later, my car had a (very recently released) software update.

The OBD light is off, throttle response feels a tiny bit smoother(!), everything else is like before, including the sound (I was a little bit worried). Let's just hope that the problem is fixed now.

Problem seems to be fixed but I could swear the exhaust is quieter now at idle and lower rev figures. 🙄

In Germany, the E63S received a particulate filter and a new steering wheel with the latest MY.

Facelift should be available 2020, around May or so.

I do not like the frontlights of the facelift, very similar to new CLS.

The software update seems to have done the trick, no more error messages, no more stuttering, nothing. The software update even took care of the speed limiter (winter tires), it works much smoother now.

My son says the sound of the car is the same as before but I still believe it has been a little bit muted. Maybe I'm wrong.

Can't wait to put the summer wheels on again soon. blush
