There's been several threads re: oil useage and the accuracy of the readings of the oil level "guage" in the instrument display. FWIW, make sure that you're on a level surface and check the level more than once. If you park the car and then come back and check it 30 mins later, then check it in two days you're apt to see a higher level. Also, tho the manual says each "bar" is .4 liter, I suggest you add only 4-6 oz at a time, then re-check the level. As there's a range of accuracy in the guage display--i.e. the display represents a true reading range between .2 and .6 liters for example. So if you just put in .4 liter you could be over filling due to the inherant variance in what the guage reads and the true oil level. However, in your case, since you're down to the lowest bar, I would suggest adding .8 liter, then check your readings again. I don't add until I'm indicating a bit below the first bar and then I add 4 oz at a time.
I've rambled here ,so I hope this isn't confusing to you. Main point is to add in small increments and check as you go. Don't just dump in a huge amount of oil all at once. Additionally, if you're car sits for a week or two, you'll get a higher reading. Remember, the ideal level is to have that small segment at the top of the readout blank, not filled in.
Look at the example in your manual. And the use you report here seems to be within normal ranges.

Malmsteen, your post suggests that think that the oil gauge sows the absolute amount of oil in the engine. In fact, it shows the current oil level between the desired maximum level and the desired minimum level, and even this minimum level still means that you have roughly 7 liters of oil in the engine's oil tank.
It is normal that an engine uses some oil and drivers then just usually pour a little more oil in to compensate for the oil used. Porsche drivers tend to use Mobile 1, because that is what the factory recommends.
You might initially try adding just a half liter, and then watching what happens to the indicated level - that is, does it go back near the top of the scale, or only part of the way up the scale.

make sure the oil is to operating temperature. i checked once when it really wasn't and it showed down one bar. being leary i didn't add any and checked again at full operating temp, sure enough it showed full and has remained there in several recent checks
