    Re: Turbo Cab. shots

Wow. The TT Cab looks better than every 911 variant Cab imo

    Re: Turbo Cab. shots

    Great find Ron!
Lol, Why do they even bother camouflageing the 997 turbo cab? By putting tape on it, even the greates car-ignorant can see that it is something special... if you don't put it on, most people won't even notice that it is something special!
Great also to see pics of the Targa 4 and Targa 4S (clearly visible under the masking tape

Yes That black on black w/ pccb's is awesome ...just needs clear/smoked side markers, and it's perfect

    Re: Turbo Cab. shots

love the wheels blacked out this really helps the factory wheels ... and of course black is the color for this car with piano black exclusive and carbon CGT seats on the inside w/ pccb's and factory delvery with Adriana Lima by your side ... so waht is that about 160 out the door .. still half the price of a spyder in the US ..... Almost looks like a 997speedster from this angle

I think the regualer painted wheels are MUCH more attractive. The black ones look washed out completely and just get "lost" visually.

Can someone try and P-shop the stock wheels on this pic??

    Re: Turbo Cab. shots

Time to crack open the penny jar

    Re: Turbo Cab. shots

Remember, those wheels are likely just camo-blacked out, not typical super factory paint job Black, though the factory paintwork on wheels from Porsche usually sucks, is very thin, chips easily, etc.

But most of their testing vehicles have that same blacked out look, but it is muted, appears to be a simple spray/matte finish, not gloss factory finish.

I'm not a huge fan of black wheels, but on some colors schemes it does work well.

Hey - I had to resize those wheels to get such an accurate representation.

    LOL

    Re: Turbo Cab. shots

Check out how the rear wing and rear fender vents look on the cab. Sick.

    Re: Turbo Cab. shots

wow - rear engine, AWD, and now 4-wheel steering.

That baby should corner like no tomorrow.

Blame the photoshop art on Crash and Throt ...back at the "matching colour exhaust shroud paintoff", not to be confused with the okay coral..

I believe the only turbo with rear wheel steering was the 964 generation, none have that anymore.

Looks like those fender wells could be filled out a little ....... sure wish we could see a sure thing kind of must have / thats the one ... gotta have em wheels for the car .

    Re: Turbo Cab. shots

Picking up on Paul's fine photoshopping and davew's eye for [humorous] detail, but it looks like 3 wheel steering, since the driver's side rear wheel still seems pointed forward. This must be some new development--perhaps it will be introduced along with the tubro S, PDK, iPod connectivity, 2008 facelift and turbokit.

    Re: Turbo Cab. shots

After a tough day, I have been sitting here cracking up, laughing (and my wife thinks I am nuts). Too funny with a nice response

    Re: Turbo Cab. shots

I'm sorry,--but I really like the looks of the cabriolets in the basic, old fashioned 997S version. I think the 997TT is just a little too busy with all the necessary ductwork. I would love the engine, but lose the massive tail and some of the gimmics.

    Dan

    Re: Turbo Cab. shots

IMO the cab looks great but I would rather have a hard tup.

The new front end of the TT almost makes the regular 997 look a little dated ... the 997TT cab is in a different league looks much more aggressive two completely different cars and if you get it in black looks great with the top up as you do not get that two tone look .... it does not get better than this the almost 500HP and sun on your face all at the same time. What a beast they really out did themselves with this ... worth the wait

And that's exactly what Porsche wants!

Dan I think you nailed it . Porsche is so talented and that is great but a lot of that talent goes into squeezing every dollar out of the market they can , they must lie awake figuring this stuff out . They have it down to a science .

    Re: Turbo Cab. shots

I've been mostly a coupe guy, but lately, I've been giving some of the Cabs a second look. The turbo cab is VERY appealing. I might have to trade for a cab in a few years.

I agree. My 997 S Cab is lookin kinda weak compared to the way the turbo cab looks. Everything from the wider fenders, bigger tires, rear wing and everything else makes my car look like the girly man version.
