I am sorry for the loss.
My dog died last month. A German Spitz/Pomeranian.
He would have been 17 years old in July and a great company for the family. In the last months leading to his death he lost many of his abilities and he was in a bad mental and physical condition. No one in the family agreed to put him to sleep.
He passed away one morning and I dug a grave in my garden and buried him like a human.

watt:It is with great sadness that we announce that last night Sun Ra returned to her God, 13 years 4 months.
So sad, Watt...my condolences.
She had a great life at your side.
So sorry about that, can't find words...

We - Sun Ra and I, deeply appreciate your condolences. She had a glorious life. She saved my life more than once, in the DEEP, the DARK, and the DRIVING HAIL.
At work, Lead Bitch, Way Back In. Seneca's Spire behind.
4' packed, track invisible, she knows.
Yesterday we strode the last track Sun Ra did with us. We crossed the downed trees, creeks and deep snow I helped her over, her falling more and more, until we got to a slide covering the track...
running right over the creek which forced its way through
Whilst the Youngers, and me still, could cross this avalanche, it was impossible for Sun Ra - I didn't have the strength to pull her out every step.
As you age, nature becomes stronger and you become weaker; every step becomes a challenge. But Sun Ra chose to keep going Way Back In, even into her dotage. I compare this with Sky, who first would only go to his stick 200 yards from the house, then wouldn't leave the house. Sun Ra is a Lead Bitch and never lost that spirit. Sun and Surf are the same.
Until the last river. 12 miles upstream from home, only 15 feet wide but ripping fast with the melt.
We saved her, to no avail, the Lord decided to take her back. This is particularly piquant as she is a mirror into my own return. For some time, I've been joking Sun Ra and I were competing in aging and she was faster -- until the the few days... As Eric said: "Lived and gone in the mountain. A wonderfull life."
We'll keep heading In! It's our Way - Way Back In - the only Way.
Oh I miss her so.

Crying is nature’s detox, it cleanses the souls, the mind and the spirit. I feel with you, Watt…

M8 Competition Convertible Update
I've never liked BMWs but the current highest performance line 3 to 8 are quite something.
After running, [finally!] in the dry, most recently to the hangar and back, the M8 CC is serious competition for not only the turbo S [window price 2/3, and market price 55% and much better looking] and even Ferrari [less, less less]. Performance is amazing and equal or better for those who run hard in the 100-165 mph range, on crummy two lane. So why pay up?

Said to BMW good-bye quite a while ago but returned back because I like their latest models (not all of them though).
The M cars, especially the M3/M4 and the M5 are quite something...
The new XM5 is also amazing.
Will be at a M driving event around mid June, can't wait to drive the M2 (haven't driven it yet).
M3 Touring CS is rumored...same goes to the M4 CS (basically as CSL with xDrive but without carbon rear lid and laser tail lights).

With the top up or down, the M8 stereo is amazing, normal never use them but going to town, it's superb.
in the gun world, we have an expression: 3 is 2 is 1, meaning you need 3 of any gun you rely on, so now it's trucks:
On the truck front, TAV in Albuquerque has ordered parts for the LC build
it's a great build for 65kusd, but the I found AEV, warranted factory approved jeep mods that get the job done for $24k.... And Rubicons have improved their rock ride by stealing detachable sway bars from the LC, and AEV improves it even more. And then - what about a 0-60 Rubicon in 4.5 secs??? I'm sure RC knows this: Rubicon 392 - 6.4 L Semi V8 !!
and truck number 3 is Madame's Lab truck the expedition with low range.
