Whoa, guys! I'm overwhelmed by the amount of responses and loads of tips, hints and suggestions youve all provided! Thanks!
PJ: As much as We appreciate your humble and submissive upsucking-approach in trying to undo your blasphemous comments, you can stop your worrying.
Being perfect, I sometimes forget that others are only human and hence make mistakes, so I forgive you.
Furthermore, my GF is the same GF who not too long ago mistook an Audi TT for a Boxster. Ergo, one should not put too much emphasis on words spoken by such GF.
DC: Go ahead, and let the shop wash your car. My masculinity is virtually impossible to wash off.
OK, back to the business at hand:
First off, I do not yet know if my biz is able to support my getting a new Boxey. Hopefully I will know in a short while.
But naturally this doesnt stop me from driving myself and anyone else nuts trying to decide specs.
I have thought a lot about what Heist said about getting a silver car with bright red interior...and that could actually be a very cool combination.
Anyone seen a Boxster with lipstick red interior? - NOT that 1974-bedroom rug-porn-movie red that some 928's have

, but a real red one ??
@ Paralizer: True, the Speed Yellow/cocoa combo is prolly a stinker, and I also prefer the more obvious yellow/black combo. I may also end up looking too much like a chocolate bar wrapping. I just want to cover all options.
@ Schufffo: Thx for all the pics, m8!!
@ Timlb: Whoa, nice! Is that a non-S?
@ Joost: No. I dont fear more comments and bad reactiions likee the one that cost me my biggest client. Au contraire. I am even more set on "doing my thing" and living the way I see fit - regardless of what others might think.
No way in hell I am gonna let a narrowminded CEO tell me how to live. So if anything, a bright yelllow Boxster would be a pretty nice testament to exactly that
DC: Youre right - yellow dials suck IMO. I really find the yellow color plasticky and strange when applied the "wrong" places. And on the other hand it can make a car look absolutely stunning if done right.
@ Percymon: Yellow belts, stitches etc would prolly not be for me. It's a bit overboard and borderline tacky. Centre console and perhaps background for navi/radio would be nice - but it might also be too much.
I think a yellow car with nice chrome/allloy and black trimmings would be cool - it's all a combo question.
(And thanks for the pics!)
@ 993 Targa: Yup, I've had the same speculations many times - that yelllow should be for really fast cars. However, having felt the abilities of DC's 3.4 987S I must say that this car more than qualifies as a car that would do well in yellow. It's no rocketship - and a GT3 would eat it alive on the open freeway - but here in DK we dont have many GT3's, Murcies, Ferraris etc, so I think I could get away with it
Nightshade: Good tip - however, I am prolly biased about blue cars since my dad had a few - and I never liked them
Seriously, I like blue Porsches, but not enough to ever get one.
Perhaps the Gulf blue - but when push comes to shove, its prolly too loud, motorsport-like and...silly?
@ Ferdie: Yup, I must be having a midlife-crisis!!...again!
right about the non-metallic colors. As a rule I dont like them a lot.
Perhaps PJ's Mustard yellow would be great - if done as a metallic color?
Can you even order a metallic yellow? That might actually look amazing.
