    Re: European F1 Grand Prix

I remember a certain member to complain about Alonso's ability to pass other cars, referring to him as being too hesitant. Contrary to others, even the early (and later) Michael Schumacher used to be, he doesn't qualify as being a rude driver passing his opponents. The same driver does a great job passing Massa, one might wonder why not everybody gives credit for this. The discussion after the race was surely stirred up by emotions but I stand to my above given comments.

If you seriously comment on Alonso's victory as being a lucky incident, than I do have my doubts about your comments being worth the time reading.

Did you pick up your sarchastic and arrogant attitude from watching him?

Funny. I still can't figure where you've got your humour from. Let me see...

    Re: European F1 Grand Prix

What a race! It had all the elements of a great thriller! A wild start and even a wilder ending... WOW!

Despite not gaining any points, I consider Hamilton to be very lucky to even start the race after his crash on Saturday. He was even luckier to have finished the race after the rain chaos....
As for Alonso, well he showed everyone what are champions made of. Go McLaren!

Interesting then, how my comments nonetheless are worth your time commenting.

Well, I appreciate your attempt at being funny. That comparison-joke almost made me chuckle. You know, a little more training and who knows - I might actually laugh! Keep it up!

I would avoid them, if I could. Somehow you've got to pressent your ressentiments against certain F1 drivers in every related topic...

If you seriously try to tell us that someone who won the F1 championship twice against people like Raikkonen or Schumacher is lacking talent then you should better change your prescriptions! Enough said!

    Re: European F1 Grand Prix

I dont for a second dispute Alonso's talent. As Ferdie said he is a 2 time WDC.

But I found his childish behaviour on Sunday inexcusable and very silly since he won the race. Also his constant whining about everything, it is very tedious and definitely diminishes his achievements on track. Other drivers are guilty of this too, but compare to the 22 year old who was not crying or complaining after the race, just smiled and said he had an eventful race. Had Alonso had the race Hamilton did, does anyone think he would have acted in a similar way.

He is a 2 time WDC and may even win this year but he does not know how to behave or act like a champion.

It seems to me from your posts, that if people dont see things your way, you feel they are either "stupid" or "on medication".
If you dont like my posts, and aren't able to comment on them without being disrespectful to me, I suggest you just ignore them.
I love a good debate, and I welcome your disagreeing with me, but getting personal and calling me names in the process is not part of a dialogue with me.
So we can either not have a dialogue, or both dispense with the sarchasm and debate our F1 disagreements on a respectful level.
    It's up to you.

    Re: European F1 Grand Prix

I dont't understand the debate at all. The last years we have complained how correct the drivers are, they do say only the things the team ordered them. We have missed the old guys driving, drinking, girls and parties. Now Alonso and Massa show their feeling and what we do - we are upset. Come on guys let them fight on the circuit, before and after the race - let them entertain us. I love this and I am sure Bernie loves it too. All this is a big show for what we are paying. I would love to see more rain, more Alonso/Massa.

I agree that his behaviour might be controversial or even impolite to some of you and I can totally accept that. I could not live with Michale Schumachers behaviour, despite all of his talent, skills and efforts. That said, bear in mind that I am German.

Alonso, just as much as Ayrton Senna or Michael Schumacher, stand out of the crows because of the effort they put in vehicle development. Even if one might find Alonso's sheer speed inferior to the one of MS or KR noone can deny that he more than makes up with it with effort.

I am absolutely sure that McLaren's better performance this year is partially due to the drivers' effort in development and testing. Just as in any well-run business, team effort rises and falls with anybody in the team, especially with the ones on top.

There have been quite a number of comments from you regarding certain characters in F1 racing that were anything but disposed and in my eyes even far from objective. Please respect other peoples views just like you wish to be respected yourself and we can get along just great. I am looking forward to it!

There isn't something like the perfect sportsman - as if there could be something like the perfect human at all - and the differences add the flavour. There is, in my eyes, no need to downtalk anybody in F1 racing, as long as one stays objective I am more than happy to discuss with him.

Exactly. After all I see it as a normal dispute, soon to be forgotten by the ones involved.

As for McLaren's team success this year, let's wait the result on the Ferrari/McLaren spying case shall we...

Dont expect me to be objective about everything in F1.
I have my likes and dislikes, just like you do - and my main reason for watching F1 is the fact that it can get my blood boiling and heart pumping - and from what I can see, yours too!
So my views are biased on some points, and objective on others.
I suspect most of us work that way.
And since none of us in here really have any 100% exact, inside knowledge of F1 or the drivers, to be 100% objective we should actually speak in VERY general and fluffy ("diplomatic") terms when debating, or not comment on anything at all.
Of course that's unlikely, and hence you will have real people with real, biased opinions.

My not liking Alonso is not a personal attack on you - but my personal opinion about an F1 pilot.
If you like Alonso - fine - I can respect that, but dont expect me to respect Alonso on that account. I dont.
He's a......OK, I'll get back to that later

And speaking of perfect human beings...you know, they DO exist...
