Morgunbladid reports that an Icelandic plumber living in Selfoss, Helgi Már Björnsson, has purchased a Porsche Carrera GT sports car.
The reported purchase price, including import duties and taxes, amounts to "about 70 million króna" or approximately USD 1 million.
Morgunbladid reports that the vehicle is designed for competition and has a maximum speed of 350 km/hr.
"You can only barely get over speed bumps [in the Porsche]," said Helgi Már to Morgunbladid, "but I am sure that I'll take it overseas and play with it on a closed racetrack." "I test drove the car on such a track in Germany before buying it. And I understand that there are plans to build a Formula-track in Reykjanesbaer, and let's hope that that comes to pass," said Helgi Már.
Most Icelandic roads provide for only a single lane of traffic in each direction. The maximum speed limit is 90 km/hr.

What's after? Hmmm, my 430 spider and RR Phantom still has to arrive and I'm looking into a Zonda F? They come in RHD form so it's possible for me to import one. I'll see how business goes in a year or two. Let's keep our fingers crossed

There are just so many cool pictures, videos and threads about sports cars on the web. All of the sports car forums have cool stuff on them.
So Dr. Phil and I came up with the concept of a super forum that would show the coolest stuff from many forums everyday.
That way people can see what else is out there and then go onto their favorite forum. Thats the reason for gtpark.com
