    The standard suspension is with lowered steel springs and PASM shock absorbers. Optional is the air suspension of the Turbo. I wonder which will be the best choice  for the character of this car Smiley

    At least not in Germany: PCCB 8.710,80 Euro, as usual. Smiley

    Edit: air suspension is not standard here as well, it's another 1.951,60 Euro.

    Well, the lowered steel springs setup is certainly sportier but for daily driving, outside the track Smiley, incl. snow and mud, I'd say that the air suspension has certain advantages. 

    I'm still surprised that Porsche went with the 420 hp power figure. There was some sort of discussion if the Cayenne should get the same power figure like the Panamera GTS and I actually thought that 430 hp is going to be the number but apparently Porsche wants to separate the Cayenne GTS from the Panamera GTS, which is kind of weird in my opinion but I suppose Porsche marketing knows the reason... No, according to rumors, the lower power figure doesn't have any technical reasons.

    I also think that the power figure of the GTS models should be in the 40-50 hp plus range, the Cayenne GTS does 0-100 kph in 5.7 seconds, which is slower than three(!) BMW DIESEL SUV models. Sorry but I don't get this.

    Seriously: While I think that the Carrera GTS models and the Panamera GTS are great deals, the Cayenne GTS kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I can't help it. Don't forget that 20 additional horses on a SUV which is actually almost 200 kg heavier than the Panamera GTS make much less impact, performance-wise than 30 horses on the lighter Panamera GTS.

    I expected more from Porsche... Smiley

    Well, they oficially introduced Cayenne Diesel here

    240 horses, 550 torque for delivery at the end of the year...

    I am so glad that I ordered Turbo :) still waiting :)

    I was scared of a powerful diesel version that I would desire badly or a powerful GTS... They respected the position Turbo has in the lineup, thank you porsche!

     RC complete agreement. I expected more. I still think the Cayenne GTS is the same as a Cayenne S but better equipped. I'm still looking forward the Cayenne Turbo S, when?Smiley

    i just bought my wife a second hand Gen 1 Cayenne Turbo in mint condition with a view to replacing it with the Cayenne GTS when it was launched, this looks like a total disappointment and " rip off " that power increase is a disgrace .........

    All other colors for the other Cayenne models will be available for the GTS.

    The previous color options of sand yellow and amethyst metallic are no longer offered, though; they've been replaced with Peridot Metallic and Carmine Red, both of which debuted with the launch of the GTS. I thought that these colors were exclusive to the GTS but after some toying around with the German configurator, I found that any Cayenne can be painted in these colors.

    Na Mezger, the GTS will be superior in many ways to your generation 1 CT.  Go see it, test drive it, and you could well love it.  I have not checked the performance numbers, but the GTS is probably as fast, or faster, and the other improvements are significant.

    Hi Wonderbar, i happen to live at very high altitude, 4500 feet so the Turbo has a massive adavantage over NA. The new Gts will push out about 345 hp vs the Turbo at around 475 No comparison, !!

    Nothing against profit, but for such a vehicle you kind of hope that Porsche would own the performance part of that segment. A gas powered Cayenne GTS shouldnt be slower than a BMW diesel.Smiley So whats it good for?Smiley

    straight line performance is not what I primarlily have been looking for. it is all about handling and responsiveness and this is where this GTS will outpace every other SUV.

    We are talking about SUVs, not sports cars. Even if the GTS would be a second faster on the track than any other high performance SUV, it still wouldn't really matter. Would it? Smiley

    for the 3 or 4 months of the year where an SUV is really useful, it is a bl@@dy pleasure to be driving a GTS. it delivers that wow every morning you turn the key; and in the snow the rear end is a riot.

    Just ordered a Cayenne GTS for July delivery.

    Key spec is Dark Metallic Blue, Umber/Light Tartufo two-tone leather, white dials, privacy glass, panoramic sun roof and black roof rails - many more extras that add up to 80K sterling in total. 

    I have a 997.2 in Atlas Grey so I am hoping they contrast each other OK, but will the Cayenne look OK with the above as a GTS - I wasn't brave enough to go for a strong colour on the exterior and my wife wouldn't let me have the standard black GTS seats....

    It's going to be your car, but to me the classic exterior and interior clashes with the sporty GTS image. If you don't want to go for white, green or red I would pick black and get the GTS alcantara interior with the green or red stitching or alternatively the black leather if you can't persuade your wife Smiley

    i think it will look good - that interior combo was done by my dealor on a few Cayennes although the exteriors were both in gray.

    i built a silver with that interior, but keeping my curent GTS as the 991 i just picked up has PDK & i needed one manual Porsche

    Very well said. I would pick black with GTS Alcantara interior and red stitching, very nice combo for a GTS.

    For the courageous, red and black with red stitching would be nice and if you are insane, you could opt for that poisonous green metallic (peridot met.) seen in many photos plus green stitching. Smiley

    The GTS can't look elegant...this is just wrong.

    Peridot was hideous in the Cayman R, and it will look even worse in the much larger monster that is the Cayenne.
