It's special version of the Turbo S from Porsche China, to celebrate ten years on the Chinese market. Only ten pieces of it will be made, only "special" thing about it is the Gold Bronze metallic paint, which will be combined with CF parts à la GT2RS and Fuchs style wheels of the Sports Classic. In the interior we will see a mix of leather, alcantara and golden stitching, as well as CF parts. Engine is unchanged from the Turbo S.

The secret of life is to admire without desiring.
As in your tagline Rossi, I admire (that is... the endless creativity of PAG's specials creators), but do not desire.
But surely Rennteam members could come up with even better ideas than this for Porsche specials. After all, they will obviously keep coming, so maybe this forum could compile ideas for the "next PAG specials". (not necessarily 911 based although it seems to be the root form of most of them).
Any takers?

Porsche-Jeck:
The time will come when a Porsche without a "special edition" plate on the dashboard will be the most exclusive one
Like Lotus with it's Exige/Elise and Lambo with its Gallardo, Porsche has been driving down this road with its 911 for the past few years , it seems .
They could have stopped selling the base Carrera several yrs ago now and half the people on this board would still not know , IMO.

One can't blame PAG for launching special editions for particular markets - demand in China is extremely buoyant - one might find the golden colour a little questionable at first glance - it's not my taste at all - but that's missing the point - one shouldn't judge the colour by one's own cultural yardstick - in China, having a gold car is fine - PAG's market research will tell it what works in each country ... and what matters is what works there ...

China is a very important market for Porsche, so what should they have done instead ? I mean, they had to have something to show around to commemorate this occassion (and certainly to keep up the appetite of the clients...) ... and, they have done well in my opinion choosing the model, color and interior etc. for this region...
