Cayenne in Texas Ranching Country

I just returned from a weekend of off-roading on a north central Texas ranch with Toby Pennycuff , GeoffUCLA and our host EuroCarNut. The four Cayennes roamed the ranch Saturday, did some hill climbing and generally had a great time. In this photo we are deciding which hill to climb next.

Ouch!!!

Those are some deep scratches on the side of that cayenne

The Toyota land cruiser was a car built to take that sort of carnage.

GM was able to get a little more aggressive as he was the only one that had the air suspension.

By the way, I posted some more pictures of the trip on the thread over on Rennlist.

If I had a few more abrasions down the side then the others, it wouldn't be by much. We all went through much the same thing. This looks much worse than it is. I have found that taking a flash photo in little or no ambient light really shows up the brush marks of off-roading and makes a dramatic shot. In full daylight you wouldn't even notice this.

Most of this will come out. Much of it is just dust marks and will wash off with water. There will be some marks left that you will be able to see if you look closely and one or two of those may not come off with buffing. I don't care.

I plan to do it many more times.
