KresoF1:In short no.
Oh well - some journalist recently said some very unexpected brands would be reintroducing manuals soon - guess AMG is not one of them...

KresoF1:Grant,
AMG GT-S would make no sense at all with manual gearbox. Car is designed and engineered with DCT as its only gearbox. New AMG GT-R would even make less sense as manual.
Neither Ferrari, Lamborghini or Mclaren plan to introduce manual gearbox.
Guess I just need to appreciate Porsche, BMW, Aston-Martin, Jaguar, Lotus, and all the American sports cars more for keeping the faith
The new Viper ACR is beating Porsche 918 at many tracks lately with 6spd manual.

It's crazy how many GT-S are for sale on the second hand market in Switzerland, think I saw 140 online for such a small market. Must be really hurting residuals I'd think, shame for such a wonderful car.

Gnil:The car has good reviews. The concept is nice. It looks good. I wonder why it does not sell more ?
Agreed. Seems like a very nice car overall. But for me it is missing something "special" when compared to the SLS. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is. Something is just not as exciting with the GT as with the SLS.

On a personal note, at 191cm of height, I noticed a distinct lack of legroom when I sat in one in a showroom and that was enough to make me lose any interest or curiosity concerning the GT. Car I sat in didn't have the sports seats; salesman told me that you gain a few CM of legroom with those.
sfo:GT does not have the SLS's gullwing doors, and does not have the sensational dry sumped NA 6.3 V8 ..that's why it's just another MB
While turbo, I do think it gets a dry sump version of the 4.0L

One thing is for sure though: Never wear a suit and tie when driving a GT. Saw a guy in this 60s today in the GT with a suit and tie and it looked so...how to put it...inappropriate. Maybe it was just me, I don't even own a suit and tie but it really looked weird.

Driving naked could be described as weird. Driving in a suit, well, I would say normal.
Unless you are weird, then the opposite might be true and normal looks weird

RC, you certainly have your own perspective on things. Maybe you think this made the guy seem old and not the sports car driving type. I have driven my GT4 (stick shift and all) in a suit/tie a few times. Sometimes my business meetings require a suit and in another instance I was driving to a wedding anniversary party. No sweat.
What do you wear if you must attend a semi-formal event like a wedding, symphony / opera, etc.?

You are absolutely right, RC.
It was just you.

So I guess you guys own a suit and tie?
I thought James Bond is the only one wearing a suit and tie in a sports car but...oh well...
The Panamera fits this style a bit better...I think.

You got style bud. Not that I had expected anything less
I used to frequent the Pink store when living in London. Great shirts!

Same here.
A suite is the perfect cloth for any gentleman. Every man looks the best in a good, tailored suite. No doubt that's the reason why James Bond is wearing those instead of some Khakis.

European mentality :)
I always find that Europeans have more taste in clothing than Americans.
