    What do you guys think of these?

    I've been on the fence about the all red tail-lights. One day they look cool to me & the next the stock white & red lights look better. My friends at Detailing Dynamics are doing these tinted lenses. My car is quadruple black so imo they would look really amazing!...... But if they reduce the lights visibility for drivers from behind by a lot I wouldnt consider them. I'm not sure of the details but I'm going to stop by their shop on Saturday to get a look at them on a GT3.

    I like the coated Techart Tips more, not a fan of the smoked tailights

    I would say stock. While tinted looks good on white, it lacks contrast with black, but that's just me.

    Really??????? And I think the white & red lens looks better on the white car but the tinted black lens looks crazy good on the all black car. It's looks mean as hell, especially on a car w/ window tint/ black wheels. I wonder if they have the tinted side markers too.

    FWIW, I like the stock much more than the smoked. I'm not sure pictures would do it justice, you'd have to see them in person.

    I like the stock look the best. Has a classic timeless look/feel. As you know, I had all red tailights on mine and didn't really like the way it looked. That was pretty much confirmed when I saw a Cayenne with it's all red tailights which to me looked cheap and outdated. As for smoking the tailights, that's a BAD idea. Porsches are already notorious for getting rear ended and darkening your tailights will only increase that risk. On a side matter, I went on a group drive recently and I drove behind an older 928GT with brake lights that were barely visible. I could barely tell if he was using his brakes or not. Imagine if you have the average driver behind you when you have to make a quick stop....BAM!

    My advice, don't do it, Gregg.

    _Anything_ that makes the TT look less busy and cluttered is good, IM_H_O. I hope they eventually tinted the middle brake lite too.

    If there's a safety issue like atomic80 mentioned then do NOT tint (consider all-red tails instead).

    Gregg, I like the look of the stock tail-lights better. The tinted ones start to remind me of "Kitt" on the Knight Rider TV show !!

    they just look kinda cheap to me ...out this way you tend to see this on mitsubishi eclipses and the like.

    Stradale, The pics I posted in another thread of my car are not the best pics, but I would suggest to do what I did. Order the car with the standard lights and then order the all red tail lights from Suncoast for $465. Swapping lights is literally a 5 minute extremely easy job. Live with all red for a while and then decide. If you dont like them, I bet you can resell on ebay for most of what it cost. On my mostly black/black turbo with PCCB, everyone I have showed the car to [and most importantly me:)] think the all red looks best.

    IMO, smoked lights look cheap.

    Maybe it's just me gents but I don't even like the after market tinted windows on a car, takes away from the looks of the car. Not to mention the tickets you will get in CA.
    Black car yes, black wheels yes but no black out package for me.

    Gregg, I was at DD yesterday and Eddie showed me a black GT3 with the tinted rear lights. I don't know, not a huge fan - maybe it's a bit "too young"?

    I even let them put on the smoked turn signals when I first got my car. To be honest it doesn't look bad, but I think I like the clear markers better. Just too lazy to change them LOL. Do what makes you happy!
