    Does the job for me.

Easy fix. Cut a round hole in the license plate... smiley

You can fix the plate a bit lower, then even Euro-plates will work with the (useless Smiley) front camera. I've seen pictures of such a car, but can't find them.

Thankfully where I live a front license plate is not required.  And thankfully I have the front camera... has saved me quite a few times already!

Reminds me of a certain F355...Unbelievable price as the car languished at the dealership during a recession...it did find a good home.

I wouldn't say unbelievable, but pretty good yeah. And since the folding hard top was introduced on the 458 you can really get the best of both worlds with this car, if you're not going to track it of course.

Also interesting how the last two mayor media releases involving the 488 have been with a non-red car, Silver on the ferrari mag for the coupe, and now this blue for the spider.

    Cause both colors cost extra.

Also, look at the rear deck. You can see there's a place for a glass cover. That's another 10k for them.

... and most probably the most useless extra you can get in the Spider, where half of the engine is covered by the folding roof. Smiley

The blue is a new colour BTW, they call it "steel blue". Nice. Smiley

It a nice "fresh" colour, though I am tempted to go Blue Electrico this time. The spider definitely looks better than the coupe - i think its because the side scoops some how fit better in to the lines with the roof down.

The good looking half no less. Smiley

But if someone spec carbon in engine bay, that glass cover can show that off.

    +1

It seems they designed the spider first.

    Re: 488 GTB/GTS

I quite like the spider version. But There are still a couple styling points I am puzzled by them.

The tail pipes, the 488 is THE car to go back to the F40's triple pipes, not the 458. In the 458 it was just gimmick but it can serve a real purpose on the 488 like the F40. Failed on Ferrari's part.

The front end is absolutely dreadful, maybe a step up from the McLaren 650/P1 front end. It's just plain bad. That bumper is designed by someone really lazy, someone who had 2 years to design a nice one but he waited till the last 5 minutes to draw one up.

The front bumper is the only thing that stands between me standing pat and me ordering one. I loved the rest of the 488.

    Re: 488 GTB/GTS

Looks like a 488 Spider. Nothing to write home about. You either like the 488 or you don't Spider changes nothing about it since it was obvious what it would look like.

    Re: 488 GTB/GTS

The 488 Spider looks amazing. Also - after had the pleasure driving the 488 already, I think the whole characteristic goes better with the open roof version than the Coupe.

    Re: 488 GTB/GTS

IMO for those who like the more recent Ferrari mid engined style (from F430 onwards) , the most recent 488 Spider will definitely do.

Anything else that is said is just nitpicking.

Styling wise the Huracan (and the previous Gallardo) appeal to me more than recent Ferraris. But let's face it if all is taken together (exotic style, performance, name and heritage) Ferrari own the category.
