    What is ASR?

    Is the ASR feature found on the 360 Modena your basic traction control or is it stability management (like PSM for Porsches)? I found this conflicting info from Ferrari USA's site under ASR: "The traction confrol of the 360 Modena....Set to "Normal", ASR brakes the driven wheels and modulates engine torque to maintain stability on straights and in corners."

    Why does it sound like stability management but they call it traction control?

    It is traction control...Acceleration-slip-regulation.

    Actually, it stands for "Anti-Slip Regulation."

    ASR is ONE feature of stability management, the big improvement of the later is its ability to prevent the car from understeering over oversteering and even more important from skidding! Of course only in a certain physical range!

    I found the ASR on the CS quite nice, not very intrusive. I had an instance of entering this corner too fast while the tires wasn't quite warmed up enough yet. I felt the loss of traction under trail braking and needed to scrub speed and make corrections...and some how i found traction quickly with minor correction and did not scrub much speed at all. I then realized I left ASR on. Quite nice to have when you make mistakes...
