Interior. Unfortunately Porsche didn't go with the change, they left it as it is. Apparently they prefer a more "radical" change for the next generation.

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

    Engine comparison.

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

RC can you post the fourth picture in 1280x1024 please?
    Thanks

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

New Cayenne Turbo brake system: front discs with 368 mm, still smaller than the powerkit brake. Surprising.

Also the new 20'' rims can be seen on this picture. Nice.

Sorry, this is how I got them.
They should be available on the Porsche website soon.

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

OK man..thank' s for the pictures!;)

Looks like the 20' wheel that is available for the Audi Q7

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

Looks way better than the older itteration...
Are the turn signals on the TT LEDs?

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

The weakest styling point for me continues to be the 911's " slopy shoulders " that the Cayenne has when viewed from behind or front 3/4 angle. Too " feminine " for a truckster . (Also note the trapezoidal new rear lights, to be emulated in the 911 facelift. )

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

    What about the 21" rims??
My dealer says that the "power kit" option is avaible

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

Thanks for the cool pix RC.

I want to know Nick's input on the new Cayenne .

Yes, thanks a lot. Although I am definately not considering it as my personal car.

    Probably one on order...

    21'' rims?

The powerkit option can't be available since the whole facelift isn't available yet.

If your dealer means that the powerkit will be available from the start when the facelift shows up at dealerships, I doubt this too but it can't be excluded.
Rumored power increase for the powerkit is 40-50 HP but unfortunately I also heard that the powerkit will be more expensive than the old one by at least 15-20%. Of course...just rumors...yet.

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

I personally like the facelif, looks more aggresive than the MkI.

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

I am very tempted to replace my 2005 CS with the face lift. However, I would like to explore the possibily of "face lifting" my 2005 CS. Any idea if this would be possible? I always wanted to get the current CTT look on my CS & was willing to spend $5,000 for it. Since I've waited, may be I can face lift the front & rear bumpers for the same price?

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

You would also need to replace at least the front fenders as well and probably the hood also. I doubt the front bumper/grill will fit without also changing these other items.

The most significant changes though are below the skin. Would you really want only the cosmetic update without the major mechanical improvements?

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

Frankly i am turned off by the interior being unchanged & not sure if I can justify selling my pampered (only 24,000 kms. so far) 2005 CS for a 2008 CS & gain only 0.2 seconds edge in 0-100 acceleration.

I also like my 20" Techno wheels better than the 20" wheels seen in the pictures.

Unless I make an impulsive decision to go for a 2008my, looks like I'm gonna wait till the next generation Cayenne and adopt what I really like about the facelift i.e. front & rear.

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

I see absolutely no reason for curent owners to get the new one. Same interior, modest hp gains, stlyling not that different except maybe for the lower front, no edge vs the competition in performance or technological advance. Skip it...

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

The interior looks mostly unchanged, except the steering wheel is simpler...

As I remember RC quoted the modification to cost around 20.000 Euros. Better to sell the old car and buy a new one.

Better to just keep the old one and do nothing

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

I like it, but why not even a CHANGE in the interior??????????

Exterior has to look very good, but I cant understand why they havent slightly modified some parts in the interior!!

I am not talking about a huge change, but at least somethings

Re: Cayenne FACELIFT Pictures (Part 2)

The current interior is great though. I'd say good thing they saved money by not changing it BUT spend it to get more HP and performance just to keep up with the competition. Maybe Nick is right afterall, Porsche is becoming "just another luxury car manufacturer".
