    3M film - is installation critical?

    I'll be getting my new P in a couple of months. They offer a clear bra installation right at the dealership. Is this so critical that I should look for someone who was well recommended or it really doesn't matter? The installer at the dealership uses laser cut 3M film.

    The installation is VERY key to your satisfaction with the product. I think that you need to look at examples of what the dealer's installer has done on YOUR CAR COLOR. Darker cars are alot harder to do.

    If you can, get personal recommendations on installers in your area. I bet a search on this board would help.

    Installation IS the entire ballgame. See your dealer's results first hand, and definitely shop around.

    Your dealer is also probably several hundred dollars more than the good shops in your area. The local dealer where I live sends the car around the corner to a great shop, but then charges over what you would have paid if you went right to the shop in the first place.
