I dont understand why people get offended by Nick's postings

I found them entertaining and I enjoy the lively discussion that follows. At the end of the day we are talking about cars, if someone tells me that he dont like my Porsche I am OK with that for the simple reason that its an IT and its not part of my family for me to get upset about it.

Who said anything about being offended? I've never been offended by any of Nick's posts. It's just a car, after all. No, the goal of the troll is not to offend. That's easy to do, just make some personal attacks, for example. The goal of the troll is to inflame people, create controversy or an angry response, make people angry, without adding content to the discussion. Nick has a long history of doing just that, and he has been previously banned. He's been better lately though, but he does "act out" now and then.

This has got to be a joke. Seriously, why continue on with something where you seem to be the only one who cares.

Personally I find Nick's posts funny most of the time, and sometimes even get me thinking.

Yes I own a Porsche, but would I like to own a 430 if I had the money, absolutely. But it's just a car at the end of the day, and if someone else disagrees with your choice of car, who cares personally. Anyone that gets upset about that clearly thinks their car defines them.

Why can't we just respect different peoples opinions and viewpoints (doesn't mean you have to agree) and all get along. I don't recall ever seeing any personal attacks on this board, which is why I enjoy it so much.
