    360 CS - brakes - do they squeal?

    Hi, do CS brakes squeal? Also just how low is it? Have 997TT that scrubs its nose quite a bit but Stradale nose looks more delicate and expensive! Worried about office car park etc

    It is inevitable for performance brakes to squeal, however, in conjunction with the correct pad for the application, you can reduce the noise.

    There have not been too many complaints about the CS in this department though.

    However, the CS is a VERY low car. It will scrape and it is very easy to do so. Treat it as a wear item or you will drive yourself crazy.

    Thanks, coming from 997TT with PCCB which are the best brakes ever and no squeal. What exactly scrapes? Can you put protector on?

    Carbon brakes are standard on the CS. I don't believe the CS front end is any lower than the 360 front end.

    You can buy a skid plate for about $200 which attaches below the front end and is not seen. It absorbs most of the scrapes.

    The CS's front end is lower because of the suspension, the whole car is lower. But the nose is also lower & longer by the 2 radiator openings. The extra lip there creates added downforce. You have to be REAL careful not to scrape the CS's nose. It touches on even the slightest grades & you have to take all grades at an angle... Here is the area I'm referring to, the Modena's spoiler isnt nearly as pronounced:.

    The 997 Turbo has more front clearance than the CS.

    The F430 also has the same problem. Whenever I run over a squirrel, the wheel squeals.

    Your right. The Stradale is about one inch lower.
