I don't know about you guys but when I read "blown" I think Supercharger/blower. Obviously it will be twin turbo charged not "blown".
I think they're right about using the 3.8 though.

That is the name of BMW's paddle shifter (SMG), which is similar to Ferrari's F1 gearbox. No clutch pedal, but manual gearbox that is shifted by a computer and hydraulics via steering wheel paddles. Porsche's system will be similar but more like Audi's DSG system (smoother/better than BMW & Ferrari)

More options is always good. However, a miata weighs somewhere around 400 pounds less and the new one will have 170 hp. The miata should theoretically handle better, be more fun since it's lighter, and have a better power to weight ratio than the base solstice so it will be quicker as well. Flyin' Miata has been turbocharging miatas for a long time and I'm sure a kit under $4-5k will come out soon after the miata's introduction to bring the hp beyond 250. I don't think a solstice, turbo'd or not, is as good a car.
