    Airbag light is on again 2 days after it was "fixed"

    Took the 2005 997s in for airbag light. They removed the seat and checked all the connections for the thorasic airbag. Re connected everything and the light was not on. 2 Days later the light came back on.



    Bummer. Will post with updates soon.

    Have them check the other seat.

    Great to see Porsche is consistent. Consistently bad at fixing known problems for over 6 years!

    Hope they get it right for you.

    Between this and RMS issues, you wonder who is asleep at the wheel.

    Just had my airbag light problem resolved. My dealer replaced the airbag control module. This was replaced this past Monday. Well it seems they traded in one problem for another. When I picked up car, the oil readout registered "no bars". We knew their was oil in the car, so I took the car home. Snowstorm approaching NYC area. I will wait till weather improves and have this problem addressed.

    AIRBAG UPDATE

    OK so latest is - They checked my code again and did whatever the TSB was but did not find the issue stated in the TSB. So they are ordering a whole new wiring harness for the airbag. Car should be ready in 5 working days or so. At least I have a Cayanne "S" loaner. Very nice car. Little big but quick and handles pretty well.

    Looking forward to getting the car back though - the weather is really nice in SF right now !!!
