Interesting news. The interior improvements will make the car more attractive in its price range. Some more foot room would also help it sell better in North America.
The exterior of the car though lacks the elegeant "presence" factor that other top Lotuses have had like the Esprit and the original Elan. I wish they would reskin it and also dump the Toyota motor for a more frenetic (!) engine like that in the Audi TT RS. I dont think that a hybrid with a 1.2 litre 3 cyl and 2 electric motors will really help sales or build any brand love. Its hard to create aspirational market positioning with electric drivetrains.
No one can do a suspension that delivers both go cart like handling and suppleness like Lotus can, but they really need the "wow" factor back in the looks and motor departments.
